About Tiger Hibachi

A mobile teppanyaki kitchen based on Hebron Avenue in Glastonbury, cooking dinner-and-a-show for Connecticut backyards, driveways, decks and rental houses.

Who we are

The Griddle Comes to You

Tiger Hibachi started with a simple observation: the best part of a hibachi restaurant is the table, not the dining room. Put the same chef, the same griddle and the same show in someone's backyard and the whole evening changes — nobody drives, nobody watches the clock, and the kids can stand up to see the flames.

So we built a kitchen on wheels. The chef arrives with a full-size teppanyaki griddle, propane, prep, sauces and utensils, sets up beside your table, and cooks every plate to order in front of your guests. When the last plate goes out, the station is broken down and taken away — your yard looks like it did that morning, minus the food.

Connecticut is home. Our banner lists a service area across the Northeast, but this site is for the state we cook in most: Hartford County on a Saturday, the shoreline in July, Fairfield County when the drive is worth it.

  • Live fire. The onion volcano, the flaming griddle, the knife work — done safely, an arm's length from your table.
  • Great food. Steak, chicken, shrimp, scallops, salmon, filet and lobster, cooked to each guest's order.
  • Happy, delicious, memorable. The three words on our logo, in that order.
